Board's Equity Council Committee Accepting Applications
The Equity Council Committee (ECC) is accepting applications for community members to serve. The deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 31. Six members are elected by the seated committee, and five are appointed by the school board.
The ECC, which is a standing committee of the Fayette County Board of Education, monitors and analyzes equity issues, advises the school board, and advocates for achievement by all students. The group, which champions all children regardless of their background and circumstances, represents the equity conscience of the Lexington community.
